I decided to go to the Ms. American United States Woman pageant in Florida as an "at large" contestant.
I was happy to represent another New England state - Massachusetts. The pageant week was in Orlando, Florida
from July 29 to August 2, 2003.

I had met Harvey at Southwest Air the week before the pageant and he'd wished me good luck.

Imagine my surprise when he was my flight attendant on the way to the pageant on my flight to Orlando!

The pageant was a lot of fun and I met some wonderful people. But, there were some really bad things that happened
at the pageant and as a result, the pageant was shut down. The judges met with a lot of the contestants in the lobby,
including me, and told us of the wrong doing at the pageant by the staff. Including being told to score certain contestants
lower. I was told that I was one of those. Anyway, we move on! Too bad that it had to be that way.
